Mr. Bungle have dropped a trippy and existential new music video for the track 'Sudden Death' from the recent re-release of their 1986 demo tape Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny!
The video was directed by Derek Cianfrance, for whom Mike Patton had previously scored his 2020 neo-noir film Place Beyond The Pines. Patton said he was stoked to be able to work with the filmmaker again:
“When we first worked together, he told me he was a fan, and I didn’t believe him. Years later, he told me he gravitated to the most difficult tunes on Bungle records (‘Dead Goon,’ ‘Merry Go Bye Bye,’ ‘Goodbye Sober Day‘) so him choosing ‘Sudden Death‘ for this iteration of Bungle actually made perfect sense. The least commercial and longest song? That’s where his ears and eyes go.”

Mr. Bungle reformed in 2019 to play a trio of shows in the US, before hitting the studio with the addition of Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies) and Scott Ian (Anthrax) to re-record their 1986 demo tape - something only Bungle would do!
