Mr. Bungle have announced The Raging Wrath of Australia & New Zealand tour for 2024.
The acclaimed metal experimentalists will play in Auckland, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth in early March. They will be joined on all dates by proto-grunge & sludge legends The Melvins.
The Raging Wrath of Australia & New Zealand tour will mark the first-ever appearance by Mr. Bungle in New Zealand.
Fronted by Mike Patton (Faith No More), Mr. Bungle are revered for their trio of '90s albums, Mr. Bungle, Disco Volante and California.
Their most recent release, The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demo is a reworking of their influential 1986 demo of the same name. The release of the record revealed the expansion of the group with guitarist Scott Ian (Anthrax) and drummer Dave Lombardo (Fantomas, Empire State Bastard, ex-Slayer) joining as official members alongside Trey Spruance and Trevor Dunn.
The Raging Wrath of Australia & New Zealand will be the new lineup's first visit to Australia.
The Melvins inclusion on the tour will see them return down under for the first time since 2017, meaning it will be the first opportunity for fans to see material off 2018's Pinkus Abortion Technician, 2021's Working with God and Five Legged Dog and 2022's Bad Moon Rising. Armed with a staggering 26 full-length albums, the Buzz Osbourne-fronted act are one of the most frequently cited influences on the '90s grunge explosion.
General public tickets for the tour go onsale on Thursday 23 November at 11 am local time via LiveNation. A LiveNation pre-sale will be held from Wednesday 22 November from 11 am local time. Sign-ups are available here.
