Is there no song Marilyn Manson can't cover? Only a few weeks ago we were treated to a rousing cover of 'God's Gonna Cut You Down', and now he's dropped a super dark and sinister take on The Doors' 1967 track 'The End', which you can hear below.
'The End' was already a pretty disturbing track (especially for its time) with lyrics like "Father / Yes, son / I want to kill you / Mother / I want to...", but Manson's 8-and-a-half minute rendition of the song steeps into uncharted territory, building from eerie and drawling verses into a powerful finale with all instruments blaring.
It's a wonderful cover - set aside ten minutes and throw on some headphones if you have any lying around:
The song will be used in the upcoming Stephen King miniseries The Stand, which Manson will also play a role in.
What do you think of this new cover? Let us know!
