X Japan have finished up their two huge Coachella performances with a bang, when the band's leader Yoshiki invited Marilyn Manson out on stage to perform a beautiful piano rendition of the classic Eurythmics song 'Sweet Dreams'. X Japan pulled out all stops for their biggest western shows over their impressive career, performing with a hologram of their former guitarist Hide who passed away in 1998 and appearances from Limp Bizkit's Wes Borland and Guns 'n Roses guitarist Richard Fortus to boot.
X Japan have been one of the biggest bands in Japan since the 80's, playing their brand of cinematic power metal to millions of fans across countless stadium shows (they were also using hologram technology long before 2Pac in 2012) , but the band have only started to really build on their cult following in the west over the last decade with a theme song for the film Saw IV and sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden in 2014.
