    Trivium have been on a bit of a streak lately, releasing a re-recorded version of 'Pillars Of Serpents' from their 2003 debut album Ember to Inferno, and then a ripping cover of Type O Negative's 'I Don't Wanna Be Me' more recently.

    Now they've continued down covers territory with the release of 'Kill The Poor', a faithful rendition of the 1978 Dead Kennedys track which can be heard below.

    It's more of a punk sound than what we're used to hearing from Trivium - check it out, then familiarise yourself with the original if you haven't already:

    Of course, frontman Matt Heafy is no stranger to the cover either, frequently tackling other band's songs on his personal YouTube channel.
