Perth's heavy heroes Cursed Earth announced their return last month with a new EP called The Deathbed Sessions, which features a different vocalist on each of its seven tracks.
After dropping the first single 'Fear' with Kublai Khan's Matt Honeycutt, they've given us another devastating slice of unrelenting hardcore which features none other than The Amity Affliction vocalist Joel Birch at the helm!
It might be one of the heaviest things Joel has ever lent his voice to, and his gutturals hit together with the song's instruments extremely hard.
Check out the official video for 'Torch' below:
Guitarist Kieran Molloy commented on how the collaboration came about:
"We kept this one to ourselves through the whole process until we got a message from Joel less than a month before release asking if we had a song left to collaborate on attached to some guttural lyrics about Pigs and Catholics.
Putting the most commercially successful singer on the most raw and pissed off song on this record is exactly the kind of thing we wanted to do with this project, so it was serendipitous."
The Deathbed Sessions has a release slated for Friday, May 31 and will feature other vocalists such as Mark Poida (Aversions Crown), Jack McDonald (Cast Down), Nick Adams (Justice For The Damned) and Larissa Stupar (Venom Prison).
