It's Black Friday Record Store Day (in America, anyway)! And that means there's gonna be a whole bunch of limited new releases from a whole bunch of bands. Take A Perfect Circle, for example - they've just unveiled a brand new cover of AC/DC's 'Dog Eat Dog' from 1977, which is part of a limited 7" vinyl release which also features their single 'So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish'.
The cover is pretty faithful to the original, but it's honestly just refreshing to not hear another cover of 'Back In Black'. They've also played it live before. Frontman Maynard James Keenan commented on the cover's inspiration:
“A belated farewell nod to Malcolm Young, who, along with Bon Scott, played a significant role in my rebellious, hasher youth. God Speed, Malcolm.”
While most of these limited grabs will most likely only see American releases, if you're a collector then you can keep an eye on Discogs to hopefully snag one later.
Listen to A Perfect Circle now.
