While we were recently hit with the unfortunate news that Lamb Of God have needed to push back the release of their new self-titled album until June 19, we at least have a heavy new single to listen to in the meantime.
Titled 'New Colossal Hate', it's the third single to be revealed from the record (following Checkmate and Memento Mori), and it's a pummeling four-and-a-half minute journey through some fiery riffs and spiteful vocals from Randy Blythe.
Have a listen and bang your head:
Guitarist Willie Adler says of this new cut:
"'New Colossal Hate' came out of our very first writing session in Maine. Mark [Morton], our producer Josh Wilbur and I were at a super cool studio in South Windham called Halo, an absolutely beautiful spot run by some of the best people I've ever met. I'm pretty sure 'New Colossal Hate' grew from a few different demos I had. You know, like parts of car. However, as it started to take shape, it quickly became my favorite song on the record. Please enjoy this banger of a tune. It holds a very special place in my heart."
The self-titled effort will be the eighth studio album released as Lamb Of God, and the first since 2015's VII: Sturm and Drang. It also features some guest vocals from Hatebreed's Jamey Jasta and Testament's Chuck Billy - scroll down for the full tracklisting.
