Metal giants Lamb Of God have announced their return with a new self-titled album due out on May 8, and the release of the new single 'Checkmate', which you can watch below.


The new track is a politically-charged take on modern America, and it's also the first recording to be released with drummer Art Cruz, who replaced founding member Chris Adler after his departure last year.


Vocalist Randy Blythe comments: "Putting only our name on it is a statement. This is LAMB OF GOD, here and now."

 

The new record will be the eighth studio album released as Lamb Of God, and the first since 2015's VII: Sturm and Drang. It also features some guest vocals from Hatebreed's Jamey Jasta and Testament's Chuck Billy - scroll down for the full tracklisting.
