Nu-metal legends Korn have released a new music video for the track 'Finally Free', taken from their latest record The Nothing which dropped back in September 2019.
The band teamed up with the video game World Of Tanks Blitz, which is a free massively-multiplayer tank combat game that has been out since 2014 for the new video, which follows a die-hard Korn fan (and a known character in the World of Tanks Blitz universe) who’s doing all he can to get to Korn’s live performance, doing everything he can to make it to the front row in time.
It's a pretty high production value and feels very Mad Max-esque - watch below:
Korn will also appear inside the video game itself from October 16-24 for an event called Convergence, allowing players and fans to discover Korn artwork, special items and an extra game mode.
Jonathan Davis says of the chance to collaborate on the game:
“I really like World of Tanks Blitz. It’s true to the era, there are a lot of great tanks in there, and you don’t just jump in and start shooting. I think there is a connection between rock and video games because video games are intense and rock ’n’ roll music is intense. It seems like they have always gone hand in hand.”
It's not the first time Korn have found themselves in the digital realm either, having previously "performed" a brand new song inside the game AQ Worlds in the lead-up to The Nothing's release.
Listen to Korn now.
