Co-founding Sepultura drummer Iggor Cavalera has kicked off his new YouTube series called Behind The Drums, where he dissects his favourite beats from across his storied career which also includes Cavalera Conspiracy, Nailbomb and more.
The first episode of the show looks at Sepultura's 'Territory' from the 1993 record Chaos A.D., where he talks about how Primus influenced the intro drum beat, and what 'Territory' means all these years later.
Of course, he also plays through the track as well, which gives some cool insight to how his fusion of tribal and metal drumming was ahead of its time.
Check out the episode below:
Iggor played in Sepultura up until 2006, and now plays in Cavalera Conspiracy with his brother, and fellow Sepultura founder, Max Cavalera. Sepultura's current drummer Eloy Casagrande has also been making waves of his own lately, with this absolutely sick cover of Metallica's 'Battery' - give that one a whirl too!
