Chester Bennington's former band Grey Daze have released a fourth single from their upcoming record Amends, which is set for release on June 26 and features Chester's remastered vocals.
The new, re-recorded version of their 1997 track 'Soul Song' comes with a music video directed by Chester's son Jamie Bennington, who also appears as the video's central figure, and contributed vocals during the recording process for the new album. He says of the powerful clip:
“This music video is about my spiritual connection to the other side and my literal experiences with the elusive and, at times, incomprehensible presence of my father after death. ’Soul Song’ is about the many ways in which we come to enlightenment, into knowledge, and the many ways we fall away from it. This is my personal experience with that.”

Grey Daze co-founder Sean Dowdell explained
"Having Jaime involved in the recording of ‘Soul Song’ meant so much to all of us. It was one of those full circle moments where we remembered meeting Chester at an even younger age than Jaime, and to now be recording with his son… it was a highlight of recording Amends. Jamie is a burgeoning filmmaker so when he offered to do this video, well, we couldn’t think of a better way to present this song.”
Chester Bennington was the vocalist of Grey Daze from 1993-1998, before moving to California to join Linkin Park (who were still called Xero at the time).
The band were set to reunite with Chester at the helm before he passed away at his home in July 2017.
