Earlier this year we were pretty surprised to learn that Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst had been directing a new film which stars the Hollywood legend John Travolta as a crazed fan-turned-stalker.
Well that movie, titled The Fanatic, has finally seen a limited release across theaters in the US and will shortly be put onto streaming platforms for the rest of us. Unfortunately, the film has reportedly tanked on its opening weekend, grossing just $3,153 across 52 theaters, and reviews haven't been super kind to the movie either - but the mere fact that a film collaboration between Fred Durst and John Travolta exists is enough to pique our interest!
Durst also directed The Education of Charlie Banks in 2007, which starred Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network) and also flopped at the box office, although it won film festival awards and garnered good reviews upon its release.
This guy definitely gets around outside of Limp Bizkit; did you know he also runs a weekly jazz night in Hollywood, which Lady Gaga once showed up at? Crazy.
