Fred Durst has landed a role in the upcoming A24 horror film I Saw The TV Glow. The Limp Bizkit frontman will appear in the movie alongside a number of musicians including Phoebe Bridgers and Lindsey Jordan of Snail Mail. All three of Durst, Bridgers and Jordan will reportedly play musicians in the film. It is unclear if those musicians are themselves.
Consequence reports that while Durst and Jordan will be seen as solo artists, Bridgers appears as part of Sloppy Jane, a group in which Bridgers used to play bass. Metal band King Woman have also scored a role in the film.
I Saw The TV Glow film tells the story of a couple of teenage friends, who are obsessed with a horror series on TV that gets axed. Their fixation on the series ends up becoming so intense that they're left questioning reality. The film is directed by Jane Schoendum and Justice Smith and Bridgette Lundy-Paine are cast in the leading roles.
The film is being produced by Fruit Tree Productions, the group started by Academy Award-winner Emma Stone and Emmy-nominated writer-director Dave McCary.
While no trailer footage for the film is available at this time, The Hollywood Reporter notes that the movie is current in the post-production stage.
Durst's role in I Saw The TV Glow adds to his impressive resume of cinematic appearances, which include The Fanatic, Zooelander, Be Cool, Population 436 and Play Dead. He's also worked as a director on the film The Education of Charlie Banks.
Durst is also a streaming star, of sorts, with Limp Bizkit playing a key role in the popular documentary film Woodstock 99: Peace, Love, and Rage and similarly themed Netflix series Trainwreck: Woodstock '99.

The Dad Vibes video dropped just as we brought you news of John Otto displaying his superior Dad qualities living out a once-in-a-lifetime experience with his daughter, Ava, teaming up with her on the reality TV dance contest Come Dance With Me.
Watch the Otto duo prepare for the comp in a video uploaded by John to Instagram below.
In an interview with Celebrity Page, Ava revealed she enjoyed being able to tell her Dad what to do for a change.
"I was a bit on the bossy side. I like having control. It was very nice"
Papa Otto seemed okay with it though, all he wants to do is get through the thing without causing too much embarrassment to the family name.
"I just tried to keep it one foot in front of the other and just worried about not trying to embarrass her, let alone embarrass myself — I already embarrassed myself"
