    Remember Eiffel 65's 'Blue (Da Ba Dee)'? Yeah, that one-hit wonder that became one of the most defining songs of the '90s - that one!


    It's probably had countless remixes since it exploded in 1998, but never have we heard one quite as heavy as the new death metal take from Italian symphonic death metallers Fleshgod Apocalypse.


    The band dropped the new cover as a way to tide fans over for new material and to ring in 2021 with something fun, saying:

    "After the amazing response over our latest single 'No,' (Britney Spears cover) we wanted to release something that could make the end of this shitty 2020 a bit funnier for everyone. That's why we took a popular dance track from the '90s and made it the heaviest, angriest, bloodiest party song ever. We're ready to blast your ears again in 2021, stay tuned!"

    Much like the original, Fleshgod Apocalypse's versions begins with the familiar piano melody before exploding into a much more violent affair - check it out:

    And just for a massive nostalgia trip, here's the original in all its catchy glory. CGI wasn't really the best in the late '90s was it?

    Fleshgod Apocalypse's last album Veleno released back in May 2019, marking it their fifth record since forming in 2007.
