Having just dropped their new EP WRONG GENERATION and finishing up their run of livestream dates, Fever 333 have followed up with a new cover of Linkin Park's classic tune 'In The End', which you can check out below.
Fever vocalist Jason Aalon Butler (ex-letlive.) takes on vocal duties for both Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington's parts, while the instrumentation remains faithful to the original. He says of Hybrid Theory:
“I will never forget that overcast morning in Los Angeles walking from my locker in the F building down the now infamous 11 stair handrail at Westchester High (now of numerous skate vids fame) toward the bungalows that housed my algebra 2 education and being stopped by my only website building homie to tell me of this ‘awesome new band he found called Linkin Park.’ ‘In The End’ was the song that made me believe that rap and rock still belonged together."
The cover is one half of a Spotify Singles series paying tribute to Hybrid Theory to further celebrate its 20th anniversary after Linkin Park re-released the record earlier this month with a whole bunch of new and unreleased material. Rock artist Grandson makes up the other half of the series with a cover of 'One Step Closer'.
We also recently caught up with Jason to talk about Fever 333's new EP, the power of music in protesting and more - you can read that full chat here!
