It's pretty surreal to think that today we would have been heading out to Download Festival to catch some killer international bands and forget all our worries for the day.
Instead, with the festival being cancelled eight days out, many of us are stuck inside self-isolating to do our bit in helping thwart the spread of the new COVID-19 virus. And while it sucks, let's look on the bright side - now we don't have to wait in lines to use port-a-potties, get rained on or have incredibly sore feet from standing up for 12 hours straight!
Deftones were one of the most anticipated bands to play the festival having last been here in late 2016, so we thought we'd bring a little slice of Download into your home with a full set of theirs to watch from the comfort of your own bed/sofa/wherever you're hanging!
Here's Deftones' headlining set at their very own inaugural Dia De Los Deftones festival in San Diego, California in 2018.
We picked this set for you based on the awesome career-spanning setlist (they even bust out 'Teething' from the 1996 soundtrack to The Crow!), multi-cam footage which has been stitched together from various points in the crowd to make it feel more like you're there, and the audio mix.
Get comfy and crank some Deftones bangers:
Deftones released a statement after the cancellation of Download, aiming to reschedule some Australian shows later in the year if conditions permit. In the meantime, the band have been working on a follow-up record to 2016's Gore, and we can't wait!
Listen to Deftones now.
