    Amidst the release of his latest album Empath in mid-2019, musical genius Devin Townsend let slip that he was planning to revisit some tracks from his previous band Strapping Young Lad during 2020, and now we have footage of Devy making good on his word!


    During his performances aboard the 70000 Tons of Metal cruise, Devin busted out some classic SYL including 'Love?', 'Detox', 'All Hail the New Flesh' and others, much to the delight of the attending audience. As is usually the case, only fan-shot footage of the set is available, but you can watch DT rip through the covers below:

    Joining Devin on-stage for the set was drummer Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth/ex-Soilwork),  bassist Kyle Konkiel (Bad Wolves) and guitarist Wes Hauch (ex-The Faceless/Black Crown Initiate).
