Canadian-born musician Dana Dentata has announced her debut album Pantychrist. The first full length from the first female solo signee in Roadrunner Records history will be out on September 3rd.
In more exciting news for Dana fans, the artist has also dropped a Kathleen Dycaico directed video for the new single Apology. Produced by Dylan Brady of 100 gecs, Apology showcases Dana's innovative style, depicting two contrasting internal personas battling it out for supremity over one physical being. This duality is etched deep in the tracks DNA with the more nurturing voice adding a calming presence amidst a chaotic blend of distorted percussion and intense vocalisation that seems designed to keep you in a constant place of discomfort. The blood- curdling screams at the track's climax, sound like aeons of internalized frustration being excised one excruciating exhalation at a time.
Apology is another bold artistic statement and an indication that Pantychrist is going to truly be a new beginning for Dana Dentata who recorded the album over lockdown with an array of producers including Travis Barker, Dylan Bray, Arthur Rizik, NOLIFE, Yawns&, Fish Narc, Italian Leather and others.
Pantychrist is intended to be the culmination of Dana Dentata’s spiritual and artistic breakthrough; her evolution from darkness into light. A collection of songs resulting from a period of healing and positive manifestations, Pantychrist is the sound of her coming to life.
Apology is Maniacs second taste of Pantychrist following the title track which was released earlier this year.
