American melodic metalcore band Counterparts have just announced that their sixth album Nothing Left to Love is scheduled for a release on November 1, and you can check out the raging new single called 'Wings of Nightmares' below.
The track showcases a refinement in Counterparts' unique blend of melodic hardcore elements and mosh-inducing breakdowns:
The band's vocalist Brendan Murphy offered an earnest and straight message about the new record, saying that they aren't aiming to reinvent the wheel but perfect it:
I know I've said this for every record we've ever released but... Nothing Left to Love is the best Counterparts record. I wouldn't hold your breath for anything ground breaking, but as we grow and progress we just get better at writing Counterparts songs, and that's all we've wanted to do. If you fuck with the band you'll probably love it, and if you don't then maybe we've finally honed our craft enough for you to give a shit.
Counterparts will be hitting Australia in October in support of Northlane on their official 'Alien' tour:
