    Canadian metal/hardcore outfit Counterparts have announced the release of Private Room, a new EP which will be out on September 7 via Pure Noise Records.

    Vocalist Brendan Murphy commented: "Private Room is a collection of B sides from the last two records that we think deserve to see the light of day. The EP is dedicated to our love of private room karaoke and all of our friends/fans that put up with our psycho bullshit on and off stage."

    The first single 'Monument' clocks in at under 2 minutes and piles on waves of relentless anger in true Counterparts fashion. You can check out the video for it just below.

    Private Room will feature unreleased songs from 2015's Tragedy Will Find Us and last year's You're Not You Anymore.
