Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has revealed that he's been staying productive during quarantine by recording an entire new solo album which he plans on releasing in the future.
He dropped the news while chatting with Halestorm's Lzzy Hale on her podcast called Raise Your Horns, during which he explained he's recorded 25 tracks for the record:
"All the songs are things that I've written over the years but they didn't really fit with either band. So it's stuff that I've just kind of been sitting on. And I've been kind of talking about doing a solo album anyway, and I was just like, 'This is the perfect time to do it.'"
Based on his further comments, it appears he enlisted the help of drummer Dustin Schoenhofer (Walls Of Jericho), bassist Jason Christopher (Prong), longtime friend Zach Throne and Stone Sour bandmate Christian Martucci.
You can watch the whole segment with Corey below, which starts at the 56:09 mark and also includes him talking about maintaining his voice during tours and more:
Any guesses as to what this will sound like?
