Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor is set to wear his acting hat again as it's been announced he's been cast as the role of Taco Tuesday in the upcoming horror film Rucker.
The new movie, which is produced by Amy Hesketh and Aaron Drane, is set to be a genre-bending terror film about a serial killer trucker who attempts to salvage family relationships. Taco Tuesday will be the main character's trucking buddy, meaning Taylor should see a healthy amount of screen time when it's released.
Aaron Drane cast Corey for the role after previously casting him in 2014's Fear Clinic - Corey said it came about after a phone call from the director:
"It was as easy as Aaron reaching out to me. He and I worked together on Fear Clinic, and apparently I left a lasting impression. He sent me Rucker and we were able to make the time work, and it was boom, boom, boom - the rest is history."
Drane was also excited to work with Corey again:
"He's a rock star - I mean that in every sense of the word. He is one of the coolest guys I know, and he's somebody who has to function at a very high level, yet really goes far out of his way to help other people achieve their art."
Corey's wife Alicia also set to appear in Rucker as Darlene #49, and the film is currently in post-production. Can't wait to check it out!
