Bring Me The Horizon have teamed up with British rocker Yungblud for an aggressive new single called 'Obey', which you can check out below.
Both Oli Sykes and Yungblud deliver harsh vocals at points throughout, with some heavy guitars that sound like they could have been conceived by DOOM composer Mick Gordon, and the classic earworm of a chorus that BMTH have become known for.
The official music video sees both Oli and Yungblud piloting huge robots in a city, fighting each other before making out in a twist of events - have a watch:
Bring Me The Horizon announced earlier this year that their next release would consist of four different records that are all called Post Human next year, with Oli Sykes telling NME:
“This first record is about hope and anger and feels like the sonic equivalent of a riot. We’re inviting people to find the solution with us.
It’s a demonstration to pull you in and get your back up. It’s a lot more aggressive than anything we’ve done for a while. The world doesn’t need light-hearted pop music right now – it needs anthems for anger. There’s so much to be pissed off about.”
With 'Obey' and the previous two singles 'Ludens' and 'Parasite Eve', BMTH do indeed appear to be returning to a harder sound which was largely absent on their last album amo, which we're all for.
