Post-hardcore legends Alexisonfire returned in 2019 with their first music in nine years, followed by a second single 'Complicit', but they've now proven that they're sticking around with the release of another new song titled 'Season of the Flood', which you can check out below.
Those looking for another round of up-tempo explosiveness from the guys won't find that here; instead, 'Season of the Flood' is an ambient slow-burner clocking in at almost 7 minutes in length.
Vocalists Dallas Green and George Pettit build the song with gentle crooning amidst dark guitars, before the song climaxes in a wave of euphoric post-hardcore. Check it out:
There still isn't any word on a new Alexisonfire album as such, although the band are soon embarking on a short run of shows with The Distillers in Canada and the US.
