nothing, nowhere. has announced his new album VOID ETERNAL will be released on Friday, 31st March via Fueled By Ramen. The announcement of the new album from the Vermont-based artist arrives accompanied by a Gabor Toth-directed video for the raging new single Thirst4Violence which features Freddie Dredd & Silverstein.

Speaking about the new single, nothing, nowhere reveals he found a new, angrier side of himself on Thirst4Violence.

“I learned to channel my sadness into positive aggression. I hope people listen to this track while bettering themselves. Working out, taking a drive to blow off some steam, just getting out and getting shit done.”

Shane Told of Silverstein remarked on Thirst4Violence saying, “It feels amazing to repay the favour to Joe, after his appearance on my song ‘Live Like This’ last year.  I’ve been a big fan of his work for a long time and this song only took things to another level.  It’s such an honour to be part of another game-changing record.”

To celebrate the release, we caught up with nothing, nowhere. for a chat about his most formative, heavy influences.

My Most Formative Influences - nothing, nowhere.

Underoath "Right off the top, I'd say Underoath, and they’re also on my new record. I would say They’re Only Chasing Safety was really important to me. It’s just that perfect blend of angry and sad. And at the time I had no idea it was very Christian, but that just didn’t take away from it, you know? It was just the perfect artistic vision, their music videos were amazing, the screamer was one of the best screamers, the drummer was also the singer, and he was the best at both of those. Just really talented musicians in a super band!"

Alexisonfire  "I would also say Alexisonfire, the first time I ever heard Pulmonary Archery and 44. Caliber Love Letter. Some of the guitar in that and Dallas Green - that really got me into playing more electric guitar. And I just couldn't believe how unique Dallas' voice was. And again, sad and angry, a perfect mixture. We’re seeing a theme here."

Senses Fail "Next, I would say Senses Fail, Let It Enfold You. That whole album I would heavily consider an absolute “no skip” album. I just can't believe how aggressive the drums and the guitar sound, and Buddy is such a brutal lyricist. That really inspired me, and I listened to that CD so many times that I think I broke it just from spinning it so much."

American Football  "On a softer side, I'd say the American Football LP, the first one, which oddly enough I discovered when I was in elementary school or maybe fifth grade in America grade. And I discovered it through a snowboarding video game on Xbox of all places. I fell in love with it from there – and that's what got me really into emo music. But of course, when I discovered them, they were no longer a band. But that's the case with most people with that band. Mike Kinsella, he's a guitar influence for me."

Silverstein "Lastly, Silverstein, Discovering The Waterfront. Silverstein is another, post-hardcore one for me. These sorts of albums, I remember going to my friend Billy Roberts' house he had a boombox in his garage, and we would just skate around in the garage listening to Discovering The Waterfront on repeat. And I started to wear girls' pants and I think I had a week where I straightened my hair, but then I stopped (laughs). But that's thanks to Shane and Silverstein. And Shane’s on the new record too. What’s crazy is all of my favourite influences are on the new record, it's badass!

Available for pre-order today, VOID ETERNAL was recorded in nothing, nowhere.'s, self-built studio - a restored barn overlooking the woods of Vermont - and mostly created in isolation, only inviting in former Counterparts’ guitarist Blake Hardman, engineer Brody McKeegan, producer Taylor Morgan, and a few other close friends. The album features the previously released singles CYAN1DE featuring Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy,  M1SERY_SYNDROME featuring Buddy Nielsen of Senses Fail, and MEMORY_FRACTURE. Furthermore, VOID ETERNAL also sees nothing, nowhere. collaborating with Underoath, Static Dress, SeeYouSpaceCowboy, and Will Ramos of Lorna Shore for some of his most aggressive and in-your-face songs to date.
