Once upon a time, Slayer were a new band like every other, slugging it out in small venues in the hopes that one day it would lead to something bigger. Filmed at The Woodstock Theatre in Anaheim on March 28, 1993, the band took to the stage to play a ripper set to around 20 people in what is believed to be the earliest Slayer footage. It was also taken right before their debut album Show No Mercy was released on Metal Blade.
Despite the crowd being quite limp, the footage clearly shows a band who were something special from the get-go. Check out the timestamped set below:
