Genre-smashing artist Poppy is back for another round of metal/pop/hip-hop/everything else, this time teaming up with Fever 333 for her song 'Scary Mask' to provide some pretty heavy riffs and vocals throughout. It's not a collaboration we ever expected to see, but stranger things have happened!
If you've ever heard Poppy before, then you know what you're in for. For those who haven't, it's a wild ride that jumps between sugary pop, heavy riffs and hip-hop without any warning whatsoever. It can only be best described as a baby of Grimes, Slipknot and Babymetal, and it's basically an audio/visual representation of wild mood swings - watch it for yourself:
Also, is it just us or does that mask look very similar to the new Slipknot #3 mask?
Poppy's new album Genesis 1 is due out in July, so keep your eyes peeled and your ears pricked for that if you like what you hear!
Fever 333 have also got their own things going on, like opening for Alice In Chains and Korn across the US in August.
Listen to Poppy now.
