  • Watch Deftones Perform 'Bored' For the First Time Ever in 1994

    Maybe it's just because we're itching so badly for a new Deftones record, because we've started to go through some old live footage of the band and there is some great stuff out there.

    Take this video for example, which shows Deftones playing the song 'Bored' for the first time ever to a very small room in 1994. It's great how casually you can hear vocalist Chino Moreno say 'This is a song we made up a few days ago...' at the start, considering it would go on to be one of the defining tracks for both their classic 1995 record Adrenaline and their career overall.

    It still sounded huge as ever 25 years ago, in part thanks to then bassist Chi Cheng, who tragically passed away while in an accident-induced coma in 2013. 

    Regarding that new album, we know that Deftones have been in the studio to write and potentially record, so 2019 looks to be the year we'll have ourselves some new music.
