    Avenged Sevenfold     have got a headstart on Halloween celebrations this year.  The modern metal veterans have uploaded a cover of the Misfits Hybrid Moments which features guitarist Zacky Vengeance, bass player Johnny Christ and the most appropriately named drummer in history, Brooks Wackerman in costumes they've described as 'KISS meets Misfits' (MisKISS?),  as they tear through a faithful cover of the underrated jam. 



    Unsurprisingly, given their talents, the A7X trio knocks it out of the park instrumentally, but it is Vengeance's Danzig vocal impression that is the standout of the stellar video.   

    Vengeance explained the origin and intention of the cover: 

    “We wanted to have a little fun with you to kick off the Halloween Season. Brooks wanted to do a Misfits song. I wanted to paint my face like KISS and call ourselves the KISSFits and Johnny wanted to drink and walk around town dressed like a skeleton. I forgot to paint my face like KISS. We still kept it punk rock and spooky for ya! Enjoy!!”

    At Maniacs we're absolutely hoping that the A7X lads provide more Halloween themed hits as the spooky season continues, and we also wouldn't complain if Vengeance wants to incorporate his vocal styling into the next A7X record.
