If you think that kids these days listen to crap, in most cases you would probably be right. Not all is lost though - there are some young guns out there who take that stereotype and smash it to bits with heavy metal!
12 year-old school friendsMalcolm Brickhouse (guitar) and Jarad Dawkins (drums)have proven that Metal is far from dead and have challenged the notion that kids only listen to top 40. The dynamic duo who started their first band together in 2007 (they would have been about 6 years old!) went on to form Unlocking The Truth, to be later joined by bassist Alec Atkins.
Over the last year the kids have been gaining prominence in the metal community with their already highly developed playing skills and style. Their influences includeChelsea Grin, Motionless in White, Escape the Fate, Slipknot, Metallica, Disturbed and others.
See what Malcolm and Jarad have got to say about the band, dealing with stereotypes, the way people receive their music and more!
