Type O Negative have shared a brand new live video for their 2007 song Love You To Death. The video is part of the goth-metal icon's celebrations for the 15th anniversary of their seventh and final studio album Dead Again.
Filmed at the 2007 edition of the Wacken Open Air Festival, the live video for Love You To Death allows fans to relive one of Type O Negative's final landmark tour runs.
Released on March 13, 2007, Dead Again features the final full-length contributions from late legendary vocalist/bassist Peter Steele prior to his passing. Seeing him commanding the stage in the video for Love You To Death is sure to inspire moments of nostalgic bliss for fans worldwide.
Type O Negative's Kenny Hickey comments:
"The first casualty of this album was the record company - which promptly went under after its release. Soon after, Peter passed, and then even the rehearsal studio it was written and developed in was burnt to the ground by Hurricane Sandy. As the black cloud continued its relentless path over Type O, Dead Again appeared and disappeared from the streaming platforms for years. Now that the storm has passed we have some slight hope of establishing a small illusion of permanence with this final release of Dead Again. We are sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused you."
Last year, the Dead Again 3LP reissue was released in select colors. On May 5th, the band will release a 2LP edition in black vinyl, light green transparent vinyl, light green/black/white splatter vinyl and mint green marble vinyl as well as a black cassette.
As an added bonus, the ten live tracks that were only available on the 3LP and CD reissues, including Love You To Death are now available on streaming services.
Last year to celebrate the legacy of Peter Steele and Type O Negative we put together a list of six essential Type O Negative songs to crank to celebrate the late singer's 60th birthday.
