When it comes to a new Tool album, any news is good news, right? I mean, if you're like us and get excited at the mere possibility of new music, new info is always welcome.
You wouldn't be blamed for continued skeptisim however, with the Los Angeles progressive outfit having spent much of the last 10 years deliberating if and when they'll release a follow up to 2006's 10,000 Days.
While the band continues to tour, and various members keep working on multiple side projects, the hope amongst fans is simply that one day, they'll get a new album. And boy, are they making us sweat!
Now as with everything Tool related, you should probably take this with a grain of salt but as we said, it remains welcome information. Drummer Danny Carey Recently sat in on a Q&A in LA with the host stating Carey had told him a new album from his band is coming "Pretty soon". PRETTY SOON.
This comes after the recent news that vocalist Maynard James Kennan has been in the studio working on vocals for the new record, but we're yet to have confirmation on that.
We'll try not to fangirl just yet, but we're definitely starting to get excited. Could 2017 be the year?
