Is this real life? According to guitarist Adam Jones on Instagram, the band have entered the studio to record new music only a mere 12 years after their last album 10,000 Days.

While this does make the news of other musicians like Tom Morello claiming that they'd heard new music already a little confusing, our guess is that they could have been referring to early pre-production.

So there you go; the dream of a new Tool album in 2018 is very much alive and kicking, but boy oh boy does it have an absolute mountain of expectations to live up to. That being said, it's easy to forget that A Perfect Circle are also only releasing a new album this year after a similar 14 year wait. Damn you, Maynard.
