Tool fans have understandably been losing their shit after the band debuted two full new songs live a few days ago, something nobody thought would ever come.
Not only that, but now they've even gone as far as announcing the release date of the long-awaited album - August 30.
The reveal came during the intermission of their Alabama show yesterday, when the date flashed up on the screen behind them, something which was then confirmed by Tool themselves on Twitter:

To make things really interesting, a user over on Reddit did the math and found that the announcement has come exactly 10,000 days since the release of their first demo on December 21, 1991 (including leap years).
If you count the 10,000th day as May 8 (the official Twitter announcement) and not during the show, which was May 7 in the US, then it actually checks out. Holy shit.
