Rock & Roll Hall Of Famers Foo Fighters will rock a footy stadium in Victoria next week, with a history-making performance at Geelong’s GMHBA Stadium on Friday 4th March.
In a massive moment for live rock music down under following two years of constant lockdowns, restrictions and setbacks, the 12-time GRAMMY-winning band will arrive in Australia next week, with this exclusive, one-off concert – Foo Fighters’ first performance down under since 2018. It will be the first time a full-capacity stadium show by any international music artist has taken place in Australia since the COVID pandemic first hit back in March 2020!
Foo Fighters will be supported on the show by fast rising Aussie pub-punks Amyl and The Sniffers and icons of Austrlalian punk rock The Meanies. Tickets are on sale this Friday 25th February via Frontier Touring. The one-off stadium gig is being presented by Frontier Touring in partnership with the Victorian Government’s contemporary live music major event Always Live– a brand new, State-wide celebration of contemporary live music taking place later this year.
The gig announcement makes for a big week for Foo Fighters who also have a movie Studio 666 opening in Aussie theatres this week and released a thrashy track from the soundtrack under the moniker of Dream Widow last week. Watch the trailer for Studio 666 below.
