Back in January, Slayer gutted us all by announcing that after almost four decades they would be hanging 'em up following a farewell tour.
Since then, the band have extensively toured North America with huge supports like Lamb Of God, Anthrax, Behemoth, Testament and Napalm Death. Of course, we didn't really think their final tour would be limited to just the US, and now it appears as though the band plan on hitting up Japan, South America and our very own Australia in 2019.
Guitarist Kerry King has said the tour was always going to be expanded:
“We always knew this tour would take us into 2019, and we’ve been blown away by the response we’ve been getting here in North America.
We’ve heard about fans who have driven five, six hours, or flown in from other cities or countries to see us, so we want to assure our fans that we’ll be on the road through 2019 and will get to as many places around the world as possible to make it easier for everyone to come and see us one last time.”
Any guesses as to who the supports might be when they head down under? We'd take any of the above, to be honest!
Listen to Slayer now.
