    Rap-rock supergroup Prophets of Rage surprised fans at the Spark Arena in Auckland on Tuesday night by calling to the stage none other than System Of A Down vocalist Serj Tankian, performing Audioslave's alt-rock anthem 'Like a Stone' in honour of the late Audioslave/Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell who passed away last May.

    This is the second time the two forces have joined to perform the song as a tribute, the first being at Rock am Ring in Germany last year.

    Given that Prophets of Rage members Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk played alongside Chris in Audioslave themselves, the cover no doubt comes from a very emotional place.

     

    Prophets of Rage are hitting Australia this week for Download Festival on Saturday and two headlining sideshows in Sydney and Brisbane on March 22 and 26 respectively. Maybe Serj will join them again!
