Brisbane melodic metalcore trio UNI/VS are kicking off their 2020 strongly with the release of a big new single called 'Hellhound', which you can check out below!
The new track weaves melody into passages of heavy metalcore reminiscent of Architects, and heartfelt choruses in between.
The single was inspired by the adverse effects technology and the digital age is having on the human race. On one hand being more connected then ever but on the other, that same power is being used to divide and outrage. Vocalist Scott Willis explains:
"We are constantly being fed information that may have no real truth or a warped perspective being derived from algorithms that keep us coming back for more."
Check out the accompanying video below, which depicts a dystopian-style setting in which the protagonist flits between a digital world and the real world:
UNI/VS had a pretty stellar 2019, playing sold-out shows alongside bands like Dealer, Confession, Mirrors and Windwaker off the back of their 2018 EP Smile.
They'll be taking this new one out on an East Coast run in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne throughout March - keep scrolling to find the dates and venues you can catch them at.
