Perth industrial/rock five-piece SPARROW are heralding in their next release with a pounding and dense single called 'Machina', which is the first new track to be revealed from a forthcoming album this year.
Just like the artwork for the song, 'Machina' is full of tiny moving parts that swirl around each other to create a beautiful, well-oiled machine full of digital textures that ranges from heavy verses to ethereal choruses and underlying digital textures
It's all wrapped up in a huge, warm-sounding package by producer Forrester Savell, who has imparted some prog influence from working with giants in the genre like Karnivool, COG and Dead Letter Circus.
Check it out for yourself below:
SPARROW initially formed way back in 2010 under the name I SAID THE SPARROW as a side project for a film, but they quickly realised they had something much bigger and turned it into a fully-fledged project soon after.
The band's last release in 2018 saw bassist Anthony Jackson (Birds of Tokyo, End of Fashion) and synth/guitarist Robert Buratti join their ranks too, rounding out an experienced and talented lineup.
Can't wait to hear what's next from these guys! It seems vocalist Sean Hendry can't wait for us to hear it either, who says:
"We can't wait for this to be out there in the world, it's been a little while in between drinks and this new music is the stuff we are most proud of to date!"
