Good new Maniacs! Melbourne metallers True Believer have premiered a brand new track and official video titled Servant, and we are lucky enough to share it with you first.
If you are a fan of oldschool metal then you will want to check this one out. Watch the video now:
Servant was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Orange Goblin, Paradise Lost & VLTIMAS) at Orgone studios in the UK and was co-produced by the band and Jaime Gomez Arellano.
True Believer channel classic rock and metal bands of days gone by in their new song with a guitar and vocal driven performance featuring memorable licks and harmonised vocal lines. Servant continues in the vein of the band's previous releases while offering listeners a refined experience.
The new track also sees the band stepping up their lyrical content from their previous track Tome Of The Lord:
"Expanding on the lyrical direction outlined in Tome of the Lord, Servant explores the relationship between worship and desperation." Explains vocalist Gabe "The idea that each sub faction of religion believes that they worship the ‘one true god’ and how all other spiritual viewpoints are dwarfed in comparison”
Inspired by the likes of Mastodon, Foreigner, Ghost, Alice In Chains, Deep Purple, and Dio, True Believer formed in 2017 and features brothers Gabriel (Lead Vocals & Guitar) and Luke (Guitar & Vocals), with longtime collaborator Lach (Drums) and their newest member Duane (Bass) who joined the band in 2018.
All four members of True Believer are stalwarts of the Melbourne heavy music scene, and the band have previously debut EP My Satan independently before hitting Bloodstock Open Air Festival in the UK in 2018. Watch this space for more exciting sounds from this band!
