Perth youngsters Daybreak have unleashed their new single 'Acid Green', a song which the band say marks a new chapter moving forward.
Daybreak have been making waves in Australia's heavy music scene for some time now, with a recent buzz coming from sold out tours supporting Polaris and Alpha Wolf and opening for the likes of Parkway Drive and Make Them Suffer as well.
'Acid Green' showcases a more diverse and mature direction for the band, seemlessly switching between crushing heaviness and sprawling, ethereal choruses. The accompanying video is equally as impressive, fittingly drenched in a green hue with trippy imagery stirring up an eerie atmosphere.
Vocalist Shaun Cox says the song "...talks about a turning point at the start of my adult life. I describe the emotions that were running through my mind at a time where I could visualise how my future would pan out if I didn't change the fundamental values of my life. This experience caused me to grow and mature as a person, faster than anything had before which also ccompanies the maturing in the sound of our music. Acid Green is the start of the next chapter of Daybreak."
'Acid Green' can be streamed on your favourite service now and is available on all good online stores. You can watch the video below:
