It isn’t every day that an Australian Olympian loves metal so much that they wear the band’s logo on their helmet. John Farrow however is not your average Olympian. Only recently announced to have qualified for the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia this year, Farrow’s back story is a little more brutal than other competitors. Two and a half years ago in training, Farrow destroyed his knee and paralyzed the bottom half of his leg. Requiring two organ donations to even give him hope of walking again, the athlete has defied doctors and made it back to his dream of competing in the Olympics. If our organs are going to go to any good cause when we’re done with them, then it can’t get much more brutal than going to a metal head like this guy!
