Aussie metalcore monolith's Northlane have dropped a massive new single Echo Chamber, announced a new album, Obsidian and a new Aussie tour!
The heavy trailblazers cover new sonic ground on Echo Chamber, injecting their progressive metalcore sound with a dose of electronica to cultivate a gargantuan groove. Featuring some powerhouse vocals from Marcus Bridge who effortlessly transitions between soaring melodic work and brutal growls, Echo Chamber encourages listeners to step outside of the echo chamber created by the algorithm-driven world of the online space and embrace objective truth.
Marcus Bridge explains
“It’s hard to be on the internet without seeing people get continuously angry about something, we’re addicted to having a hot take about nothing and it’s quite exhausting. At the same time, I shouldn’t let it bother me that much but it’s like a ringing in my ears after a while, so I’m praying I go deaf."

Obsidian promises to be an adventurous record, sonically, as the band embraces more of the electronic influences heard on Echo Chamber. The first Northlane album to ever be self-released, Obsidian presents as an opportunity for Northlane to step boldly out into a brave new world.
The band has also announced an Australian tour for June next year, hitting Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane with Plini, Sleep Token and ALT.
