Northlane have released a crushing cover of Fatboy Slim classic Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat!
The boys have done an excellent job of retaining the tone of the original whilst adding their own flavour to it. Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat \m/.
And just in case you'd forgotten what the original sounds like (shame on you if you have), here's the original to follow up with.
“Reinterpreting this song and adding a little bit of the Northlane sound into it was a challenge for us, and we hope that we’ve done it justice,” the band told Music Feeds.
“We believe that the metal and electronic genres share many similarities and we’re thrilled we got the opportunity to contribute to this release.
“Fatboy Slim is an iconic name in electronic music and for many of us, our first introduction to techno. This in turn has lead us down a rabbit hole of new genres and inspired us to take risks with our music.”
Northlane's cover of Eat, Sleep Rave Repeat is from the Fatboy Slim vs Australia EP, which is due for release next Friday (January 19), and includes several Aussie artists covering Fatboy Slim classics.
