We've had no shortage of new material to sink our teeth into during this time of lockdown, and Nine Inch Nails have thrown their hat into the ring with the surprise release of a double album from their Ghosts project, which started back in 2008.
The new records packaged as Ghosts V-VI, explore a wide range of ambient soundscapes, with Ghosts V: Together using various pads and synths to create an ethereal atmosphere, while Ghosts VI: Locusts takes on a notably darker undertone.
The albums have been released for free, and you can stream the whole thing on a YouTube playlist below (you can also download them here)
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are no strangers to this style of composition - on top of the Ghosts project, they have both been heavily involved in scoring film including The Social Network, Gone Girl and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
