    Myrkur, the black metal project of Danish musician Amalie Bruun, has had her music appear in the official trailer for an upcoming theater release of the detective drama Dark Crimes which stars Jim Carrey in the lead role.

    The film initially premiered back in 2016 at the Warsaw Film festival under the name True Crimes, but was only picked up for cinema distribution rights last year.

    This isn't the first time metal has brushed against Jim Carrey and the mainstream; who can forget that classic scene from Ace Ventura: Pet Detective which had Carrey's character find himself at a Cannibal Corpse show before getting on stage to do vocals with them?

    Myrkur's brooding atmosphere lends itself well to the trailer - check it out below!
