In the latest instalment of the (somewhat exhausting) new Tool album saga, Maynard himself has dropped a little tidbit which seems to confirm that we won't get to hear it until some point in 2019. This comes after the band confirmed they were in the studio recording it back in March.
Speaking onstage at Metal Hammer's Golden Gods Awards last night, the singer, who received the prestigious Icon award, had this to say:
“Thank you very much, appreciate it. Wouldn’t be here without you guys, so thank you very much for all of that. A lot of work’s being done, a lot of work’s been done. I’ll go on record now and say – you’re gonna see some new music next year.”
So there you have it folks; it sucks we have to wait another year, but at least we now have a rough idea. Still, can you believe that kids who were three years old when 10,000 Days came out can vote now?
