Following on from the release of the ultra-heavy single 'Brimstone' a couple of months ago, deathcore titans Whitechapel have dropped another new single from their upcoming seventh album The Valley for us to feast upon.
Titled 'Third Depth', the track is strikingly different for the band, which switches between slow, brooding sections with clean singing and passages of Phil Bozeman's hellspawn vocals we've come to love.
The switch in styles throughout really reminds us of bands like A Perfect Circle, Tool and Opeth, but still has an underlying Whitechapel vibe thanks to the crushingly-heavy sections sprinkled throughout.
Give it a go:
The Valley will be out on March 29 through Metal Blade, and will follow up the band's last effort from 2016, Mark Of The Blade. Given the diversity in sound found throughout the first two singles, this is shaping up to be one interesting record!
Listen to Whitechapel now.
