Andrew Baena is no stranger to manipulating metal, having previously taken bands like Killswitch Engage and Nickelback and seeing what they would sound like with lower guitar tunings.
Sometimes it just sounds like a wet fart (like Meshuggah tuned way down), but other times it can actually be pretty god-damned heavy. This is one of those cases, taking the already-thudding sound of Thy Art Is Murder and doing the obscene thing of tuning it down further on an 8-string guitar.
Is it necessary? Probably not, but it's an interesting experiment nonetheless. Go change your undies and then watch it below:
